Salem-Roanoke County Merchant Opportunities
The Salem-Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce is hosting monthly merchant meet ups to collaborate on promotional programming and stay connected to chamber resources. These meetings are open to all restaurant and retail establishments, you do not need to be a Chamber member.
Please complete this form to let us know what programs you will be participating in. Each program has a description.
We are creating a holiday shopping map that we are going to hand out at Pumpkin Fest on 10/29 and The Christmas Parade on 12/3. We will list all retail businesses, but you will also be able to offer a discount or promotion, if you would like. Ex: Spend $25, get $5 extra, 10% off, Free appetizer with $50 purchase.
Would you like to decorate your storefront for Christmas? All participating stores will be listed on a holiday map. In addition, the map will be shared with running groups. Please decorate by 12/1- Black Friday or earlier is recommended!
The 19th Annual Gingerbread Festival is December 4th from 10-2. The festival is a community event with crafters, holiday performances, Santa, S'mores Pits, food trucks, and more.

The Gingerbread House Competition will be displayed in the Salem Museum from 11/26-December 4th. Many businesses love participating in this annual tradition, creating a house that represents their business. There is also room for business cards, flyers, etc...beside your house- a great way to get promotion/recognition. Free to participate, other than your supplies.
The Salem-Roanoke County Chamber's Princess Fiona (Gingerbread Girl) will visit merchants to share what's hot for the holiday, all the ways customers can reach you, etc- On Facebook LIVE.

The Chamber hosts a Holiday Shopping Guide on our website. Members have complimentary enhanced business directory listings, Non Members can choose to purchase a listing, or we will provide a FREE basic listing. The guide stays up year round and is called "Shop Local Guide" the rest of the year.
Looking ahead to 2022- Would you like to participate in Restaurant Week?
Restaurants- create a special menu with 3 pricing tiers.
Retail/Others- Opportunity to collaborate by offering promotions during restaurant week. Ex: Bring your receipt from a participating restaurant for a free jewelry cleaning.
